Tiny Dancer

We had our second night of dance class tonight and Lauren had the best time! She loves it! Tim came along this time and took some photos of the class. She especially loves the "gymnastics" part of the class, she kept trying to get the other kids out of her way so she could do more. Ha!

Kiddos in the Shadows

It was another hot weekend, but we had a great time! We spent a lot of time with the Coens, playing in the park and we went to "Wonderscope" the Kansas City Children's museum. The kids had a blast. This is a picture of the three of them in the "shadow room" - they thought this was really awesome. It left your shadow on the wall after the light flashed. Summer is starting to wind down, hopefully so is this heat!

It was a great week - very busy, but at least a little cooler for a change! Lauren had her first "dance class" on Tuesday night. It was mommy and me dance - we had so much fun! She loved twirling around and also the tumbling part of the night. :)

Just Farmin'

We finally got a small break in the heat and we decided to take advantage of it today and go to Deanna Rose Farmsted for the first time this year. Lauren loved it. It was so much more fun this year because she really got into everything!

Right now she is watching "Super Why" on PBS. It is her favorite show and I think every mommy deserves 30 minutes of quiet time in an afternoon! She is full in the "2s" and loves to boss everyone around and argue with mommy. Lord help us all! :) This coming week should be pretty fun - Lauren has her first night of dance class this week!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July! It was such a fun day! We went to the parade in Parkville in the morning and then went to Grandma Di Di's in the afternoon for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Schlake were here visiting for the day as well! Lauren had a really great day. I can't wait for the years to come when she can really enjoy the fireworks!

Slumber Party!

Our best friends, the Coens, lost their AC on Friday, so we had a really fun slumber party Saturday night! One thing the kiddos did was have a "dance party" - it was pretty hilarious. They also did several art projects and laughed all night.  It was so much fun!
